The Cookery - Nashville

Good food, good cause. The Cookery has several local charitable missions, primarily for the homeless population. There are some Australian dishes on the menu, which is quite unique. The meat pie was delicious. The staff is also very friendly. Altogether I'm awfully proud to have this place in our community.

Their amazing food and service is only surpassed by their mission! Love that they have a prayer wall and have a giving tree filled with requests to help the homeless. Everything we ordered was delicious including dessert with homemade whip cream!

As a home sick Aussie. This was pretty awesome. The pie was very English, not very Aussie as ground beef isn't very common in AUS. Pastry was too puffy. Sausage roll however, amazing. Snot block (aka vanilla slice) also amazing. Hard to get them wrong. It will be a must each time I head to Nashville. I do wish they sold the pies and sauasge rolls separately. Never had them with fries.... But hey it is America. Very good spot.
